Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am 18 years old. I am really worried. I got my ears cleaned just the other day, so my ears would find some sound a bit louder and clearer right? I was at a funeral just yesterday, and the drums were very loud my ears felt a little tired after I left but they got better. In the evening, I felt a little sign of sensitivity when I turned my tablet's volume up, but that does not usually hurt me. I decided to go sleep when I woke I could feel that my ears were getting sensitive like if someone slams a door it would just be too loud. The next day I woke up I thought everything would get better but the next day when the glass plates would knock each other, it seemed just too loud. I can tell that my ears have gotten sensitive but I just want to know if this might be temporary because of the loud exposure or will I have to deal with this for a time?
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
The above mentioned is noise-induced trauma to ear. Hence excessive-high pitch sounds might temporarily increase the sensitivity of your ears. Hence very good precautions to be followed. Volume of earphones should not be greater than 70%. Avoid using earphones for at least 10 days. No exposure to extreme sounds. And take multivitamin and nerve protector tablets to decrease the sensitivity.
I hope this helps.
Thank you and take care.
Regards.
