How can I overcome depression and obsessive thoughts?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 28-year-old female. For the last few years, I am thinking about a guy all the time. I do so when I am busy at work time also. I have horrible experiences in the past without him. I do not have so many friends to hang out and not even an option to do so. I get negative thoughts all the time which in turn makes me fight with him and again think about him. I am fed up with my behavior and this makes me feel depressed, irritated, angry, and sometimes suicidal thoughts. I feel so lazy that I cannot do yoga and other exercises. Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

I think that at the age of 20 to 30 years ,it is common for a girl to think about a guy. But in your case, this thinking is so much that it affects your daily activities, even leading you to a depressive state. So it is necessary to stop these thoughts. You should get T3, T4, and TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone) levels.

Take one capsule of Fluoxetine 20 mg, tablet Olanzapine 5 mg once daily, and Clonazepam 0.5 mg twice daily.

Report to me with the investigations and improvement report after ten days.

I hope this helps you.

Thank you.
