Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have been taking Oleanz 2 mg for the past two years. Can this drug cause Parkinson's disease? I started experiencing symptoms such as shaking hands, difficulty walking, nightmares, and sleep disturbances only after taking this medication. Are these symptoms due to the drug which I am taking? I am not taking any other medicines. Is there any alternative for this drug?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

It is rare to have Parkinsonian symptoms due to tablet Olanzapine 2 mg, but sometimes it may cause. If you are stable, I suggest tapering off and stopping your tablet Olanzapine. There is no alternative medication for it. I hope that you get your answer. Please let me know if you want any help.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
