Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 36 years old. I was married 6 months ago but I was unable to satisfy my husband due to lots of pain in my vagina during intercourse. He was unable to insert his penis into my vagina due to lots of pain and because of this, we were unable to do sex post-marriage. I am scared that he cannot live with me due to this reason. Please help me with how can I satisfy my husband.

Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query and understand your concern.

Vaginal pain during sex can be due to several reasons. It includes dryness due to infection, improper foreplay, dehydration, age factor, and hormonal imbalance. You can try the natural way by increasing foreplay or you can use a water-based gel lubricant. Fear during sex causes muscles in the genitalia to contract and cause pain to both partners. You need to increase foreplay duration to reduce fear and bring comfortability. Please share a picture of the area to rule out infection. It may also occur due to congenital abnormality, history of surgery in the genital region, and injury of the cervix. You need to do an ultrasound abdomen to confirm the diagnosis.

Kindly share more details regarding the above issue, so that we can work on diagnosis and management.

Thank you.
