What could cause pain in the groin during an erection?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a healthy 32-year-old male. After defecation, I experience seminal fluid secretion, followed by pain in the penis. During erection, I feel slight pain in the groin.

Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Seminal fluid secretion after defecation can be a normal occurrence, so there is no need for concern. The pain could be due to an infection, which needs to be diagnosed. The location and source of the infection must be identified. Please consider getting the following tests done:

  1. Complete blood count (CBC).
  2. Urine analysis (preferably provide the sample along with the seminal fluid).
  3. Ultrasound of the abdomen.

Please reply so I can guide you better.

Thank you.
