Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a fairly healthy 55-year-old woman. I have a bump, on my eyeball, not my eyelid and it is small and very painful. My mom and my sister said it is pinkish looking, and I do not have a photo to send so, I will try to explain the best I can. I cannot see it myself, and I cannot afford a doctor. I am very much concerned as I have never had it before nor have I seen it. I have been online all day looking for what I might have, and most answers are for white or red bumps or things to do with pink eye, and could not find a clear solution.

Kindly suggest.

Hello,

Welcome to iclinq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

Without photos, it is very difficult to comment on the condition. Your symptoms are suggestive of phlyctenular conjunctivitis which may present as a red painful bump with congestion around it.

I suggest you follow a few instructions mentioned below.

  1. Start taking Prednisolone eyedrop four times daily for one week.

  2. Kindly consult an ophthalmologist, talk to them, and take medications with their consent.

I hope this has helped you.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
