Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 19-year-old male. I have been suffering from severe headaches, neck pain, and dizziness for four years. Taking any medicine makes it worse. I cannot sleep at all, and I am sleeping after two to three days. Some doctors say it is a migraine, and some say for an MRI, but I cannot have an MRI due to panic attacks inside that machine.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

It is better to rule out sinusitis initially. Take an X-ray PNS (paranasal sinuses). If it is normal, then you can go for MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) under sedation. And this is termed claustrophobia which is quite common with many patients. You do not need to worry much as MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) can be done under anesthetic supervision in these patients under sedation.

Migraine possibilities are not ruled out, but patients complain of severe headaches, nausea, vomiting, photophobia, and phonophobia during the episode.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
