Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have had a lot of panic episodes in which I find it difficult to breathe. My eyes are constantly hazy, and I cannot focus. I have trouble eating by myself or being alone. I constantly feel tired and had to take time off from school and leave my job due to worsening symptoms. I am now scared to do anything. I have contacted many psychiatrists, but they have not prescribed anti-anxiety medication. I eat healthily and try exercising and meditating but do not show any improvements. Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query, and I can understand your concern.

The symptoms are suggestive of panic disorder or severe generalized anxiety. Most anti-anxiety medicines are controlled drugs. SSRIs (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) or SNRIs (serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors) are used commonly. For panic attacks, Benzodiazepines are used. All these drugs cannot be prescribed online. Therefore consult a psychiatrist or physician and ask for evaluation and medicine. I would also suggest the following measures:

  1. Exercise daily.

  2. Sleep for at least seven hours a day.

  3. Avoid excess tea, coffee, or alcohol consumption.

  4. Drinking green tea helps to reduce anxiety.

I hope this information will help you.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
