Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 23-year-old female. I have been experiencing some strange symptoms recently. The most bothersome by far is the pain in my ribcage, as well as the pain in my left arm. In my arm, the pain seems to be focused on a specific spot under my upper arm, but it spreads. I have also been experiencing nausea, stomach cramps, and headaches though I do not mind most of the last symptoms since my period should start soon. I have been diagnosed with PCOS and am currently being treated for it, in addition to bipolar disorder and anxiety. Please help.

Thanks.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

These symptoms can be associated with anxiety. When there is anxiety or stress, it causes acid formation in the stomach, due to which nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain can be seen. If you stress too much, palpitations and hand pain can be experienced, so I suggest you calm down and continue your medications. In addition, please take tablet Omeprazole 40 mg once before breakfast, tablet Paracetamol once daily whenever there is hand pain for three days. I suggest you consult a specialist, talk with them, and take the medications with their consent.

  1. Do you have severe anxiety?
  2. Do you get panic attacks?
  3. How many hours do you sleep?

Please answer so I can prescribe you medicine accordingly.

I hope this information will help you.

Thank you.
