Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Years ago, while having sex my blood vessels got damaged. If this is not causing me issues, is this fine to not get it corrected. As long as it did not cause me issues, I was told that I do not need any treatment. But I am wondering if I should have surgery. Please guide.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Yes, that is true. If you had a blood vessel damaged during sex long ago and there were no issues so far, no need to do any corrective surgery. The penis is rich with blood supply. If one vessel got damaged, other vessels would cover the areas supplied by that vessel. Therefore, no need to worry as there will be no changes. The only issue is penile fracture during vigorous sexual activity as it causes breakage in tunica albuginea, and that will need immediate repair. But in your case, no issues at all.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I may have had a fracture when the blood vessel is damaged. How do I know if it is a breakage? Can I send a photo?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Yes, it is better to send a photo of your penis in both flaccid and erect positions. Penile fracture is characterized by the hearing of pop sound and immediate loss of erection. It will be associated with pain and swelling at that time. Does the same happen in your event before? In the long term, if not repaired at the incident time, then you will have a loss of erection. Please follow up with photos that will be helpful.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I have no problems achieving an erection. And I have attached the photos.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Your photo shows (attachment removed to protect patient identity) that there is no penile fracture before and at the moment, there is no need for any surgical intervention, especially if you have no issues.

I hope this helps.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
