Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am facing severe pain in my left heel, especially when I get up in the morning. I cannot put my heel on the ground. I feel real pain while putting pressure on it, but it reduces slowly as I walk. I got my uric acid test and it is below the borderline. Is there any medicine I can take to get rid of this pain quickly? I am traveling somewhere where I have to walk.

Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query and understood your concern.

This is a condition in which the fascia or the tissue at the heel is inflamed, and pain is there especially in the morning after getting up from sleep. You need to take the following medications,

1. Take a tablet of Piroxicam (a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug) once daily for ten days.

2. Take a good antacid once daily before food.

3. Take a tablet of Calcium for 30 days.

4. Take a tablet of Vitamin D for a period of 11 months once a month.

5. Apply a good pain relief ointment.

6. Do physiotherapy.

7. Perform calf stretching exercises.

8. Wear shoes that have soft soles.

9. Apply ice twice daily.

Kindly consult a specialist, talk with them, and take medicines with their consent.

Hope it helps.

Thanks and regards.
