Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 23 years old and want to ask you a few questions. For the first time in my life, I got a massage session from a lady. Unfortunately, I did not get a good erection which made me anxious. I think I have jerked off too much, so I have very low testosterone levels. So what should I do now?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern. Let me start by saying there is absolutely nothing wrong with you. Getting an erection is not a package deal with a massage. Massages are meant to relax you, not to stimulate you. Unfortunately, the misconception of getting an erection when having a massage has been going on for ages, so I do not blame you for falling prey to it. The only time you may get an erection during a massage is if someone is massaging your groin or inner thigh region. Coming to the second part of your problem, masturbation (no matter how much) cannot lower your testosterone levels. Even if you do it once or a thousand times, it would not make a difference. I would suggest you put your mind to ease, relax and take it easy. Just to make sure we have covered everything, please help me with a few details: Are you diabetic? Have you had any spinal injuries or surgeries before? Do you get an erection right before you wake up in the morning, and are those erections normal? Do you get an erection when watching a stimulating video? Are you sexually active?

Hope this helps.

Thank you and take care.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for your reply.

I occasionally get a morning erection, but it does not always occur. And I do not have any spinal injuries, but I have lower back pain when I move lower to the ground. And yes, when I want to masturbate, it is fine, but I feel like it is lesser than before.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern. I do not think you have anything to worry about. Anxiety can get the better of all of us at times. I do not suspect anything wrong will come out of your tests, but if you want to get tested, please get serum testosterone, and penile Doppler. To increase your confidence, I would also suggest you a couple of tablets of Viagra to get you going and feeling comfortable. You do not need it otherwise.

Hope this helps.

Thank you and take care.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
