Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been struggling with an issue during sex, where I experience an uncontrollable urge to ejaculate within the first stroke. This is causing embarrassment and frustration. I have tried using desensitizing balm to numb my penis, but it detracts from the experience. Kindly provide solutions to address this issue.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for your response.

I have no underlying health issues or history of surgeries that could be contributing to my situation. I do not face any difficulties in achieving and maintaining an erection. I seem to have a strong feeling to ejaculate even before penetration. I have relied on the Pau Yuen Tong Old Chinese Balm as a long-term solution. The strong urge to ejaculate during masturbation from start to finish is also a concern.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Thank you for providing those details.

The average duration of sexual intercourse for most men is between 5 to 15 minutes. I suggest you consider using a thick condom to reduce the sensitivity of your penile skin, which can help delay premature ejaculation.

I would also suggest you try using techniques like:

  1. Start and stop: If you feel like you are about to ejaculate, slow down the speed for 10-15 seconds and then resume.
  2. Squeeze technique: Pinch the base of your penis with mild to moderate force just before you feel you are going to ejaculate. Combining this with the start and stop technique can be effective.
  3. Practice deep breathing and distracting your mind just before you anticipate ejaculation; these techniques can help delay ejaculation.
  4. On-demand medication can be an option, but its availability may vary depending on your country of residence. You might need a prescription from your general practitioner, so kindly let me know if you would like to explore this option, and I can provide you with the drug name.

There are more effective alternatives to the balm you have been using, such as Lignocaine local anesthetic spray, which should be easily available over the counter at pharmacies or stores specializing in sexual health products. It is also important to have an open conversation with your partner. They can assist in slowing down intercourse when you feel like you are going to ejaculate. This emotional support is a crucial aspect of dealing with premature ejaculation.

I hope this information is helpful. If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask.

Thank you.
