Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have had several pus-filled pimples below my collarbone for the past five days. The skin around it is red and tender to the touch. Recently I was diagnosed with herpes zoster, and after medications, it got cured. What could be the reason for my pimples?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query.

I understand your concern; I have a few questions for you to answer.

  1. Do you have any history of atrophy?
  2. Any burning or tingling sensation?
  3. Do you have a fever?
  4. Do you have any drug history?
  5. Do you have a history of insect bites?

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I do not have any of the above symptoms. I only have the same count of pimples. I used Azithromycin, Starnac, and Closol G ointment for the past month.

Hello,

Welcome back to iciniq.com.

It is truncal acne. I suggest you to follow a few things mentioned below.

  1. Apply Mupirocin cream twice daily for 15 days.
  2. Take tablet Zifi 200 mg (Cefixime) twice daily after food for five days.
  3. Apply 20 percent Aziderm (Azelaic acid) cream during the daytime for 20 days.
  4. Use Cetrimide or Azac soap (Azelaic Acid) for baths for one month.
  5. Apply Brevoxyl creamy wash (Benzoyl Peroxide) 20 minutes before bath for 20 days.
  6. Avoid scratching and rubbing of lesions.
  7. Avoid popping and pricking at lesions.
  8. Maintain proper hygiene.
  9. Avoid trigger factors.
  10. Avoid activities that cause sweating.
  11. Wear loose, comfortable thin cotton clothes.

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.
