Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have taken an anti-rabies vaccine; all three shots are pre-exposure prophylaxis, and I need to know how it will grant me immunity? Because I went to my relative's house, where a dog licked and scratched me, and gave a sweet bite that never pains. So I doubt what to do. But, on the other hand, the dog has been vaccinated, and I did not get any cuts and I did not bleed.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

When did you have three doses of the vaccine? If it is more than six months, take one booster dose. If bites are deep and are above the waist, then repeat complete vaccination. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
