Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I just had a routine checkup done. Please check the attached reports, and let me know if everything is fine.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I had seen your report (attachment removed to protect patient identity).

Yourhemoglobin is slightly low, and it mostly seems to be iron-deficiency anemia. For that, no medication is needed. I suggest eating iron-rich foods like green leafy vegetables, dry fruits, beans, jaggery, boiled red meat, etc.

Yourvitamin D is low, for that Cholecalciferol sachet is useful. It is normally taken once in a week for eight weeks, along with milk. The dose is 50,000 unit in one sachet.

Take care. I hope your concern is solved. Consult your physician for examination and prescription.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for your valuable analysis. In the lipid profile, my HDL seems to be lower than the normal limit. What needs to be done for this? I weigh 202 lbs so I want to reduce my weight. From the last 15 days, I am going for regular walks for 2.5 miles in the morning. What else do I need to do? Are all other reports fine?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Your all other reports are normal.

Your BMI (body mass index) is 28. So, you are pre-obese. With weight reduction, HDL (high-density lipoprotein) will become normal. I suggest you try doing the following:

  1. Do brisk walking for 30 minutes to 1 hour. You can also run on the treadmill.
  2. Swimming, running, etc., are also good exercises.
  3. Take low-carbohydrate and low-fat diet.
  4. Fruits and green leafy vegetables can be taken more.
  5. Use less oil in cooking.
  6. Try to avoid a sedentary lifestyle.

If with weight reduction, HDL does not come within the limit, then we will think further.

Take care. I hope your concern is solved.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
