Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
My partner had a semen analysis and it showed agglutination stage 2 moderate. Can someone help explain his results?
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Sperm agglutination is basically agglutination or sticking of sperm head and tail. If the agglutination percentage increases then this could prevent sperms in fertilizing the ovum. If the counts are normal and motility is good then there is no need to get worried. Some laboratories have started using staging for this agglutination. But having positive agglutination does not mean that semen sample has some serious issue.
