Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have been feeling very tired, and it is getting worse as it is affecting my day to day activities. I feel very worst because I cannot live my life to the fullest, and sometimes I just cannot go anywhere (since the last 10-11 months). We have done blood test and most of them are normal D3, B12, and some minerals because I have been taking supplements for ages. Here is some history or other symptoms I have, if it is helpful.
I have developed headaches since last year, and we did an MRI, and it was normal, but it noted sinusitis and headache near the forehead and upper eyes. I used to be a skinny guy, but I developed a pot belly because of junk food and alcohol (very moderate). I have been taking since last two years (stopped for four months).
Since the last five months, I have developed weird stomach issues, used to have cramps frequently, and indigestion. Later, I developed constipation, and then my stomach started burning frequently, but my family doctor prescribed me Unienzyme with Rabeprazole and Domperidone. I think most of them are fixed, but still, my stomach keeps burning randomly.
I have had atopic dermatitis in legs for 15 years. My nose is frequently blocked. Since I am an IT person, I have low physical activity. I feel my immunity has been lowered because it takes a lot of time to resolve things. My body feels just very tired. I cannot even sit properly; I just have to lie down all the time.
Kindly help.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I can understand your concern.
According to your statement, you have been suffering from extreme fatigue, tiredness, lack of energy, indigestion, and abdominal cramps with burning. You are a known case of sinusitis, atopic dermatitis with IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), or GERD (gastroesophageal reflux syndrome).
The clinical features that you have already mentioned may result from low blood glucose, low blood pressure, thyroid hormonal disorders, chronic fatigue syndrome, anemia, dehydration, medications, psychological disorders like anxiety and depression, nutritional deficiency, hormonal disturbance, etc.
Treatment depends on the causes. You should undergo some investigations, such as
These help to exclude the underlying causes for your present sufferings and then treat them accordingly.
In the meantime, you can take Visceralgine and syrup Gaviscon for your abdominal discomfort. In case of any other query, knock me, and I will try to reply to you further.
I hope this information helps you.

Thank you.
Patient's Query
Thank you doctor,
Here I have attached the reports you have asked for.
Kindly help.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I have gone through your investigation reports (attachment removed to protect patient identity), for several times and found that your triglyceride level is significantly high, with a high VLDL (very low density lipoprotein) level along with a high serum IgE level. Your HDL (high density lipoprotein) level is below the normal level. So these markers indicate that you are suffering from an allergy to hypertriglyceridemia.
You should avoid dust, mites, smoke, any allergens, or irritants. You should also avoid taking oily fatty foods, dairy products, etc. For your high TG level, you can take Fenofibrate, and for a low HDL level, take Omega-3 fatty acids. Repeat your lipid profile level within three months.
I hope this information helps you.
Feel free to ask further queries.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hello sir,
I took omega-3 for three months. Is it fine?
Kindly guide.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and can understand your concern.
I have gone through all the investigation reports and found that your triglyceride (TG) level is normal now. HDL 33 (normal:35-80mg/dl), and LDL 147(normal:85-130mg/dl) respectively. Other parameters are more or less within normal limits.
Almost all results are normal in range. Among them, two or three parameters are slightly higher or normal than the normal range that indicates no significant abnormalities. Your HDL level is almost normal. So, please continue the omega-3 fatty acid for another three months.
I hope this information helps you.
Feel free to ask further queries.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hello, Doctor,
Should I be worried about my high Cystatin C & Prolactin? Thank you for the response.
Kindly guide.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and can understand your concern.
Your prolactin level is 26.08 ng/ml (Normal: 2.1-17.7), which is slightly high. It is important to know that prolactin levels of between 30 ng/ml and 200 ng/ml are considered moderately high. This moderate higher levels may result from various causes like pituitary tumor. so below 30ng/dl usually no abnormalities or significance. As prolactin is a stress hormone, mild raising of prolactin may result from stress, exercise, eating, or tension.
Again, cystatin C 1.06 mg (Normal <1.03) is slightly high, indicating nothing abnormal. So don't be worried at all. At best, you can repeat those tests 2-3 months later, take care.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
I hope this information helps you.
Feel free to ask further queries.
Thank you.
