Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had an unprotected sexual act on day 1 of my period. There was no penetration but the penis was rubbed against the vagina and I was scared about pregnancy from precum so I took an I pill within 12 hours on day 2 of my period. Should I get a pregnancy test done?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query.

I understand your concern. Sex during periods does not cause pregnancy, you do not need Ipill, your period may stop within a day or two, or withdrawal bleeding may merge with periods, it may also occur a few days later. It varies from person to person. The next period may be late but there is no cause for worry. You do not need a pregnancy test.

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for your reply. I feel so relieved from the stress. Will my next period be delayed since I took the Ipill on day 2 of my periods? What can I do to get normal periods? Is there anything to worry if I do not get withdrawal bleeding?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Your period may come earlier, on time or late there is no rule but there is no cause for worry. You do not need any medicine to bring periods just wait, even if you do not have withdrawal bleeding.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Today is the 5th day of my period and today also I had some little bit of bleeding. I usually have 3 day period and I also feel a little tired and sleepy. Are these the side effects of the Ipill?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

This is due to the effect of the pill, the spotting may continue for a few days as you took the pill during the period. You do not need to take any more medicine, the more you take more your period will be disturbed.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Today is day 6 of my period and even today morning I had a little bit of bleeding actually this is the first time I am facing something like this so I am worried. How long should this spotting continue? And does this indicate something?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

It may continue for some time but you do not need to worry.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
