Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I have severe shivering in my head. It starts at any time of the day, and when I sleep a little bit, it stops. I had my report, and my vitamin D3 level is less (18.12 ng/mL). Please suggest to me some solution for this. I have it for the last 20 days.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Thanks for your query. It is best first to take vitamin D3 supplementation immediately. I suggest you Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) 60,000 International Units (IU) one capsule once weekly for six weeks. This will be a protective supplementation as well against the pandemic. Additionally, Zinc 50 mg tablet one tablet once daily for four weeks and Vitamin C 500 mg tablet daily for four weeks. However, please lookout for any other symptoms such as fever, cough, breathlessness, loss of taste, smell, diarrhea, etc. Head spinning could partly be due to undue anxiety arising from the general situation (due to pandemic) or persisting home-bound problem. To investigate it further, you may need to undertake a few more tests. If it is uncontrollable, then I suggest Cinnarizine 25 mg one tablet thrice daily for three days. You may feel a bit sleepy, do not drive while on this medicine. Please get your blood pressure checked at home with a digital blood pressure monitoring instrument. It could be high or low. Please revert after three days of medicines.
