How to manage scapular pain that persist despite medication?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have had left shoulder scapular pain for seven months. I used tablets Myoril, Etoshine, Gemcal XT, Nucoxia MR, Neurocem NT, and Liquid Vitamin D3. I am also taking Roseday F5 for cholesterol problems and the tablet Neurokind plus for shoulder pain. Please suggest.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I thoroughly read your query and understand your concern.

Do you have a history of trauma or injury on the left shoulder? Does your occupation demand repetitive movement of the left shoulder?

You might have a frozen shoulder on the left. I suggest you undergo an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) so we can make sure no tendon is injured. Meanwhile, you can apply warm compresses over the left shoulder for 30 minutes every six hours, and I suggest you take the tablet Eperisone 1 tablet thrice a day for three days and Etoricoxib 120 mg 1 tablet once a day for three days. If not effective, you can go for physical therapy.

Hope this helps.

Regards.
