What could cause a circular rash beside the nose?
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have a circular rash beside my nose and did not subside. I have tried antibiotics, face cream, and face wash. Nothing seems to work. It does not itch though, it burns when it is really hot.
What to do?
Please help.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I went through your case. I need to know the following things before arriving at a final diagnosis.
- What is the total duration since it first appeared?
- Is it sensitive to touch? Does it burn in sunlight?
- Any similar lesion elsewhere in the body?
- Is it thick on pressing?
- I need a clear photo to see if the skin over it has any scale or you ever notice any scale over it?
- Any variation in size or always progressing and never became normal?
Please reply to the questions.
Thank you.

Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Thank you for your answer.
It was there for about five months. Temperature is normal, but it feels dry. It does not burn in sunlight and no other place on my body has it. It is not thick on pressing and it has some scales like dead skin.
Please help.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
Thanks for the input, but you did not mention about the sensation. Follow this treatment for three weeks. Take Tablet Terbinafine 250 twice daily after meals for three weeks, Mometasone cream twice daily for 10 days only, Sertaconazole cream twice daily three weeks, and Calamine lotion thrice daily at 8, 11, and 2 o'clock. Review after three weeks.
