Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have two questions. I have a pink raised bump on the chest and I have had it for a few months now. The picture makes it look bigger than it is. It is not that big. It used to be bigger and I cut it and it has not grown bigger since. I just wanted to see your opinion. I understand I might have to go see a dermatologist for testing but an opinion would be nice. I hope it is nothing serious. I do not have it anywhere else on my body. Also, I have something under my left breast. It looks like a big pimple or boil. I have had it over a week and it hurts only when I touch it. The skin has come off around the area.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your complaints and reviewed the attached photographs (attachment removed to protect patient identity). The lesion on the chest seems to be either dermatofibroma or fibrous papule. Both are benign lesions that need to be removed surgically. The lesion on your breast looks like a resolving boil. I would recommend you to apply a topical antibiotic like Neosporin ointment on the affected area twice daily for a few days.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
