This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 18 years old and have some problems with my sleeping schedule. Sometimes I fall asleep fast, but sometimes I cannot sleep. As a result, I stay awake overnight. I want to try some sleeping pills. Are they good for my health?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Pills are not a good choice. I suggest you try alternative remedies. Pills can affect other parts of the body adversely. I suggest you do the following:

  1. Take a bath with warm water before sleeping.
  2. Light soothing music will; help you relax.
  3. Do a warm oil massage.
  4. Read a positive book.
  5. Avoid sugars and junk foods.
  6. Take dinner early.
  7. Avoid alcohol.
  8. Meditation will help.
