Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 37 years old, I have been having trouble sleeping recently, and the incessant sneezing is turning my evenings into a nightmare. I am wondering whether this is all due to allergies or if dust mites are the culprits. Is there anything I should be looking out for? Sneezing is a major problem in this area. I am thinking about allergy testing, but I am not sure if it is the appropriate step. Any ideas for making my sleeping environment allergy-proof? It is interfering with my everyday schedule, and I just need your advice on how to handle this sneezy, sleep-deprived situation. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

In many cases, sneezing is caused by allergies. Only allergies, such as dust, pollen, and other allergens, may cause sneezing and sleep problems; to avoid this, I recommend that you protect your face while dusting the home. Dust is more likely to trigger allergy reactions, rhinitis, and sneezing.

In addition, I suggest you take one tablet of Levocetirizine (antihistamine) 10 mg before going to bed for five days.

Drink only lukewarm water and avoid anything cold. If things do not improve, you can contact me at any moment.

I hope this helps. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
