Hello doctor,
I have a sore throat for a month now. It is mostly on one side with pain on the right side. I also have a white bump on the same side of the tongue. It is white and soft to the touch. I took antibiotics and also did throat culture but only commensals were reported. Before this, I had body pain intermittent fever for almost months, and a heat rash on the skin.

It looks like oropharyngitis, but one month is a prolonged phase, so we have to rule out other cause. Kindly tell if you have any history of diabetes or oral ulcer, or prolonged fever.

Thank you doctor,
I do not have diabetes but I have a tooth which had root canal done but I lost crown year back now it is infected but I do not feel any pain or ulcers. I have Vitamin D deficiency. I could not say if I had a fever or not because I felt the fatigue and body pain before sore throat for 2 to 3 weeks but the temperature was normal and even I had a good appetite and there were no other flu-like symptoms such as runny nose or congestion or chills.

1. Mouth gargle with Betadine ointment daily two times with hot water.
2. Candid mouth paint over ulcer area.
3. Tablet B complex twice a day for 10 days.
4. Do not eat any spicy or oily food.
5. Capsule Strepsils you can take.
Which antibiotics have you been taking? Kindly mention.

I have taken Amoxicillin for seven days and before that Cefpodoxime for five days.
