I have neck pain with nerve compression. How to manage?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 74-year-old male weighing 154.3 lbs. I have had neck stiffness, morning headaches, right-sided jaw contractions for the past two weeks, and a tingling sensation in the right upper back, neck, and jaw, along with tickling ears, for the past one week.

I have the impression that my right shoulder is blocked, like a feeling of fullness inside. The pain remains moderate but sometimes descends into the arm and hand. There is no history of trauma and surgery.

Kindly suggest.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Your symptoms are related to cervical spondylosis. It causes nerve compression, resulting in numbness and discomfort in the hands, arms, and shoulders. I suggest tablet Etoshine MR (Etoricoxib and Thiocolchicoside) and capsule Pregabalin at bedtime. In addition, take an X-ray of the cervical spine.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.
