Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am in my early twenties and I am having frequent stomach ache for a month. The pain is either on the upper right side of my belly or the top center of my belly just below the chest. It occurs frequently during the day and even at night. It causes chills when I have the sensation of going to the toilet. It pains while urinating but after using the toilet, the pain goes away for some minutes and then comes back again. The pain also stops for some time suddenly and then starts again. I had it two years ago also when I had eaten the salad that was not washed. The pain lasted for one to two days and it was more painful then.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Pain in this specific part of the abdomen is related to either liver or stomach. It can be seen in a liver abscess (due to eating unwashed or unhygienic food). It can also be due to fatty liver. Apart from the liver, it can also arise due to acid peptic disease. However, the good news is all of these conditions are treatable and completely curable. All you need is an ultrasound of the abdomen and treatment as per the diagnosis. Pain in urine is due to urinary tract infection, which is well treatable with antibiotics as well. Just get a urine routine analysis done and start the tablet Martifur (Nitrofurantoin) 100 mg twice daily for seven days and you will be completely fine.
Hope this helps you.
Kindly revert back in case of further queries.
Thank you.
