Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am getting terrible anxiety at the thought of my ex moving on and the fact that it has been six months since we spoke. Why do I get constant images of him having sex with a girl and getting married, and why does this make me want to kill myself? How can I get myself out of these feelings? Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have read your query, and I feel that your history is very short of understanding because you have mentioned that you are already on a mood stabilizer (Lamotrigine) and antidepressant (Mirtazapine) for the treatment of bipolar disorder, which is a mood disorder in which the patient may experience symptoms of mania, hypomania, depression or some time patient may have mixed symptoms. This is an episodic illness, and there is complete recovery between each episode, so you need to put a detailed history of your disease as for as your query is concerned. Fear of having something for which a person is not ready, so I would suggest that to stop these thoughts where we do not have control over thinking, and if symptoms are not under control, it will need a treatment review.
I hope this helps.
Regards.
