This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I think that I have UTI. I have a little bit of irritation when I use bathroom and my pee seems to be cloudy. Sometimes, I have itching. I have an urge to keep peeing. I have this issue for a week. What is wrong with me?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

You have a more likely chance to have urinary tract infection. It occurs more commonly among women. Please mention whether you had any fever in the past few days. Having cloudy urine indicates the presence of protein in the urine. Please mention whether you noticed any swelling around your eyes. I suggest you do a urine routine and microscopy to see for proteinuria and pus cells in urine. It helps to give a definitive diagnosis of UTI (urinary tract infection). Drink lots of fluid around two liters per day.
