Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am having foot pain with bruising and swelling for ten months. I have done an MRI to rule out the cause. Currently, I have consulted a podiatrist and he made me non-weight bearing for six weeks. Yesterday, we saw an MRI. I have done all conservative treatments including steroid injection packs, taken anti-inflammatory medicines, and physiotherapy. I have done two rounds of orthotics. I would like to know the other options available.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through the MRI report (attachment removed to protect patient identity). Please mark the exact site of pain on the foot and send the picture to me. This helps to correlate with MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) reports.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Yes, I will send it.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Well, you have inflammation on the tendons of the foot. This is known as tenosynovitis. It can occur due to trauma or overuse of it. You can do ice fermentation for fifteen minutes thrice a day. If you have any physiotherapist nearby, then you can take an ultrasonic therapy at that site. You can do intrinsic foot exercise two to three times a day for fifteen minutes.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
