Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have a headache that seems to be squeezing my head right above the eyes. It happened yesterday after completing my work. I tried to sleep at that time but I am not able to sleep. I am using eyeglasses and I am not sure whether these two are related.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Please mention whether you have this headache for the first time. Please mention its onset whether it seems to increase gradually or it seems to be a thunderclap headache. Please mention whether you have a fever or nasal discharge in the past few days.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

It increases gradually and slowly. I do not have a fever and nasal discharge. It is rare for me to have headaches and it occurs most often after completing my work or after doing paper works.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Please mention whether you have nausea and sensitivity to light and sound after getting this headache. Please mention the duration of a headache without consuming analgesics. Please mention whether any of your family members have this chronic type of headache.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I am not sure whether I have a sensitivity to light. But when I look around, the dark color seems to be darker and it causes more pain while seeing it. My family members do not have this headache. I am the only person using eyeglasses in my family.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

According to the description, you have a tension-type headache. Recheck your eyes and using an appropriate glass number is necessary. The majority of headaches occur due to tiredness both physically and mentally. Staring monitor for a long time can trigger it. Try to look at distant objects every twenty minutes while doing work. Pay attention to monitor height and its center should be at the level of your eyes. It helps to decrease tension in the cervical and occipital muscles. In these cases, I prescribe you take tablet Nortriptyline 10 mg at bedtime. If lifestyle changes and medical treatment does not help you, then you need to do brain imaging.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Your diagnosis and treatment helped me a lot.
