Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have cavities in the front two teeth. I have kept putting off seeing the dentist because of a high profile busy job. I have an upcoming appointment but I am worried about a possible infection to the bone? If this is the case would I have severe pain and swelling?

Answered by Dr. Purva Jingar

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Well, not every cavity reaches the bone. For infection, either pain or sensitivity is there. Just consult your dentist and do as he says. I wish you good health and happiness. Keep me updated with the improvements.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Will my dentist be able to fix it even if the infection is to the bone? I am so worried that I am crying.

Answered by Dr. Purva Jingar

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Yes, the dentist will be able to fix it. Do you feel pain? Because pain occurs in infection. Also, a bone infection is not a chance because it happens due to gums. I suggest you consult an endodontist. If the dentist recommends a root canal treatment, then you can go for that. Also, you can fix the infection simultaneously with treatment. Just rinse your mouth with salt water and turmeric mixture twice a day. Maintain oral hygiene properly and use mouthwash after brushing twice a day. Do not force your teeth to bite hard. Rinse mouth with lukewarm water after every meal. Also, use floss after brushing. For more, just ask me anytime.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
