Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have a problem with my teeth. I feel pain whenever I eat even if the food is soft. I had this pain previously and got it cemented or filled, for one tooth but now I feel pain all over the lower jaw. But it feels like due to the fresh air, as we are in an area with woods. Sometimes at night, I feel pain around the cemented tooth. Kindly suggest.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query and understand your concern. This pain is due to an infection in the cemented tooth and maybe a tooth near that. I suggest you maintain oral hygiene properly and also visit a nearby dentist and get an x-ray done there to find the actual cause of pain. Maybe caries in the cemented tooth are exceeding which can only be confirmed by an x-ray. Also for temporary relief rinse your mouth with salt water and you can use any painkiller available in your home. This will reduce pain at night. Do not eat sticky food and use dental floss for better results in maintaining oral health.

I hope this will help you. Follow-up with X-ray report and if no improvement is found.

Thank you.
