Patient's Query

Hello doctor.

I am a patient with CKD who has been on dialysis for the last two years. I just developed a fever two days before, which we assumed was due to a viral infection. When we went to get reports, it was discovered that I have typhoid, my platelet count is 72, and my TLC and DLC levels are high. I am experiencing fatigue and a high body temperature. I am now taking DOLO 650 mg three times per day. Arkamin 100 mg three times per day, and Minipress 5XL twice a day.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern about low platelet counts and a fever. So, viral fever is at its pinnacle right now. Sometimes it appears to be dengue, but the report is negative. As a result, treat it as an acute viral fever with a low platelet count. Maintain hydration; if your urine output is greater than one liter, drink 1500 ml of water each day. Monitor your blood pressure carefully, as it may drop during a fever, so antihypertensive drugs must be adjusted correspondingly. I would also like to know whether you have a cough, cold, or increasing shortness of breath. Do you have any kind of burning feeling when urinating?

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
