Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have a burning sensation in my vagina and white discharge. Itching is also there for two weeks. I tried using creams, but it did not help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through the details presented by you. I fully understand your concern and will surely help you. Please give me the following details for diagnosis. Is the burning sensation present while urination or all the time? Is there any increase in the frequency or periodicity of going to urine? Is the white discharge milky (not thick) or thicker like cottage cheese? Is there any history of a similar problem in the past? Are you sexually active or otherwise? Please tell me about medications and creams you have already taken and applied. Nevertheless, you have a vaginal infection, and I need to understand the above information to assess your cause correctly. If required, I will request you some tests for urinary tract infection (UTI) and vaginal infection. Based on the information already shared, I suggest you use V-wash (sea buckthorn oil) to clean the area.

Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with them and use the medication. Keep the area dry. Apply Surfaz-SN (Beclometasone 0.025% w/w, Neomycin 3500 u/ 1 g, and Clotrimazole 1 % w/w) cream locally. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with them and take medicines with their consent. Wear loose cotton underwear. Avoid intense workouts to prevent sweat in private parts. Use a gentle soap to wash undergarments. If sexually active, please request your partner to use a condom. I can prescribe other medicines once I know the details as requested for your health.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

The burning sensation is intense during urine, but the itching is there all day. From today the burning sensation stays for a long. I had milky white discharge a few days ago too. The frequency of urine is normal but burns when I urinate.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Most likely, it is UTI (urinary tract infection ). Nothing to worry, it is a common thing, and its causes may include drinking less water, holding up urine for long hours, infrequent pad changing during periods, and also due to sexual activity. This is a common difficulty faced by females worldwide and is easily curable. My immediate recommendations for your early relief are; to take plenty of oral fluids and use condoms.

I would suggest -

  1. Syrup Alkasol (Disodium hydrogen citrate), two teaspoons in half glass of water three times daily for five days.
  2. Tablet Urispas (Flavoxate 200 mg) twice daily for three days if intense pressure and pain while urinating.

Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with them and take medicines with their consent.

Although I am sure, you must be already doing it, if not, please wipe yourself down there from front to back and not another way around. It helps prevent bacterial infection. If it does not resolve or reduce in three days with these medicines, then an antibiotic course can be taken, and a urine culture examination can be done.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
