Hi doctor,

I am a 26-year-old female with a weight of 158 lbs and a height of five feet six inches. I have vaginal burning with white discharge. I have cramps after having an orgasm. I have an uncomfortable feeling in my lower body. What to do? Please suggest some home remedies. Before six months, I did not have this issue. But now, I have pain. Why am I having this issue? I have not involved in any sexual activity in the last two months.

Based on your symptoms, you are suffering from a genital tract infection. Please mention whether you have any offensive odor with vaginal discharge or any associated itching. For having definitive treatment with antibiotics, more details are needed. Take tablet Meftal Spas (Dicyclomine with Mefenamic acid) on an SOS (as needed) basis after food for pain. You can use vaginal wash for local cleansing. Kindly consult a gynecologist to have a physical examination and do PAP (Papanicolaou test) smear. Have a follow-up with further details and definitive treatment can be taken.

Investigations to be done

You need to do an ultrasound abdomen and pelvis and do a Pap (Papanicolaou test) smear.

Treatment plan

You can take Tablet Meftal Spas (Dicyclomine with Mefenamic acid) on an SOS (save our soul) basis after food for pain. You can use V-wash for local cleansing.

Preventive measures

Avoid having sexual intercourse till your symptoms subside. Avoid having vaginal douching and change your undergarments frequently.
