No, it is not high risk. Instead, it is a hypertrophic scar (a scar that grows into nearby skin in the injury-prone area and never grows after one year). If it is not itching or painful, leave it alone. I would suggest an injection of Hydrocortisone acetate and 2 mL Xylocaine injection intralesionally into the entire scar tissue once a week for four weeks. Use a disposable five cubic centimeter syringe and 22 number needle. Use force to push the fluid into the scar tissue. Apply Heparinoid ointment or Povidone ointment in the scar tissue for two weeks to soften the hard scar. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with them and take the medicines with their consent.
