Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I think I have been experiencing recently what is known as the Tetris effect where I would constantly see images in my head of a game I played a lot, strangely this only happened now with this particular game even though I have played games a lot in the past. I have also been having constant ear pain not only with songs like most of the population experiences it, but with sounds as well, as if they echoed in my head even after the source has stopped. My question is, is this serious? Should I start to worry? Could this become chronic?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query.

Because of our height and perception of things and liking towards them at times this thing in our mind stays for longer duration like a song, a movie scene, etc., which is completely normal. This happens more in teen years and young age. I do not think you should worry about it but if you still feel that these things are increasing and apart from it other symptoms are also appearing, then you should consult a local psychiatrist for proper evaluation and treatment.

Hope it helps.

Thanks and regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
