Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am 23 years old, and I got my blood work done recently due to severe and chronic back pain and joint pain. My vitamin D level was only 6 ng/mL, and the doctor I consulted told me the count was too low. So the doctor has put me on Cholecalciferol 60,000 IU. I have a constant doubt running through my mind.
Will I have to take these injections throughout my life? Is there any permanent cure for this deficiency?
Kindly help me.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Thanks for contacting us. I can understand your concern.
But, no, you need not take it regularly. I suggest you take it for eight weeks only and do not take it beyond that. Also, I suggest consuming more vitamin D3-rich diets like non-vegetarian food, milk, etc.
I hope I have answered your question.
I will be happy to help you further.
Thank you.
