Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My daughter's age is 5 years, 5 months and 24 days. Her height is 3.4 feet and the weight is 41.8 pounds. She vomits when she travels by car. Tomorrow we will start our travel by car and my assumption is she will start vomit. Earlier we gave her Ondem syrup. But it did not work. So, we request you to kindly prescribe something (like Avomine tablet) to get rid off. Please note that everything is normal. She is a little fragile. She did not vomit in the train and plane journey.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Your daughter has motion sickness. It usually occurs in bus or car. You can give tablet Avomine (Promethazine) half tablet 30 minutes before the start of the journey. Also, make her sit near the window. Also, good ventilation with fresh air lessens the vomiting sensation. Do not give too much food before the journey. Peppermint also helps. Take care.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
