Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My gums surrounding my third molar or wisdom tooth (in the lower left jaw) seem to be swollen. I started to feel sudden pain yesterday morning and gargled with Bactidol. This morning the pain seemed to intensify. I feel pain when I swallow, open my mouth, and when I gargle. Somehow I feel the pain in my throat already. I took my first Amoxicillin as advised by a dentist friend three hours back. What should I do next? Kindly help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I can understand your concern.
It is a case of pericoronitis. Do not worry. Take the tablet Oflox OZ (Ofloxacin plus Ornidazole) twice daily for five days. Use Chlorhexidine mouthwash and gargle with it thrice daily for one week. Take the tablet Zerodol SP (Aceclofenac plus Paracetamol plus Serratiopeptidase) twice daily for five days. It will relieve the pain. I tell you Amoxicillin will not help with this problem. With the above-mentioned medications, you might experience relief.
I wish you good health.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Thank you for the reply.
I am from an abroad country so I am not sure if the same medicines have the same names here in our country. Is the tablet Oflox OZ the same as Ofloxacin? If yes, what is the dosage? Is Chlorhexidine mouthwash the same as Bactidol? What is the dosage of Zerodol SP? Is there a way for you to provide me with a prescription? Kindly help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
Glad to have you back.
Take the tablet Ofloxacin 200 mg and Ornidazole 500 mg (Oflox-OZ) twice a day for five days. Take the tablet Aceclofenac 100 mg and Paracetamol 325 mg and Serratiopeptidase 15 mg (Zerodol SP) twice a day for five days. You can use Hexetidine (Bactidol) if you have bought and no need to buy a new one. You will be relieved in a few days.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
