Can taking Amoxicillin with Clavulanic acid be harmful?

Hello doctor,

I am currently taking Metformin and Synthroid for my Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and PCOS. I am also taking Amoxicillin with Clavulanic acid twice daily for ten days. But I might have taken an extra dose today. But I am not sure about it.

Does taking an extra dose of Amoxicillin have any harmful effects?

Thanks.

I would like to know the safety of Adderall for ADHD during pregnancy?

Hi doctor,

I found out that I am 4 to 5 weeks pregnant. I am looking for some information about the safety of Adderall during pregnancy. Currently, I am taking Adderall XR 15 mg, Celexa 20 mg, and Lamictal 100 15 mg per day. I have a history associated with depression, anxiety and ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). Unfortunately, I am one of those who risk losing my job and going into a bad depression if I try to get off. There is really not much data of risks on therapeutic levels, only abuse. I am seeing my doctor (OB) next week but would really like a pharmacologist opinion. Thank you.

Do Indomethacin and Misoprostol contain the same ingredients as Celebrex?

Hello doctor,

I am allergic to Celebrex, as it causes me hypertension and chest pains when I take it. After undergoing hip surgery recently, my doctor prescribed Indomethacin and Misoprostol as substitutes for Celebrex. However, I have started experiencing the same side effects with these two drugs as I did with Celebrex, including extreme anxiety, confusion, and hypertension. A pharmacist informed me that Indomethacin and Misoprostol are the same drugs found in Celebrex, suggesting that there may have been an error in prescribing them to me. I shared this information with my family doctor, but they did not believe that information to be true. Now, I am feeling afraid and uncertain. Should I continue taking the prescribed drugs as advised by my doctor or should I stop taking them? My question is, is Indomethacin and Misoprostol combination the same drugs as those found in Celebrex, as the pharmacist informed me?

Kindly suggest.
