Can Ayurvedic medicines alleviate work-related stress?

Hello doctor,

I have developed anxiety problems due to severe work-related stress. I work in the IT services with timings from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM. So, I go to bed by 1:00 AM and wake up around 6.45 AM every day. Due to stress, I am having palpitations. I had a full echo, ECG, and a treadmill test to rule out cardiac problems and the results were normal. I was advised Betacap 20 mg and Restyl 0.25 each once a day. I have been taking these medications for close to one and a half years now. However, during a Siddha camp in our office for stress, they reviewed my medications and have advised me to take Ashwagandha 400 mg twice, one in morning and night each along with my allopathy medications. Also, I have lost my sex drive due to stress. I would like to take advice on this medication and dosage. Will these ayurvedic supplements cause any interactions?

Any Ayurvedic medicines for relaxing abdominal muscles?

Hi doctor,

I was diagnosed with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis before five years. Now, I am taking an injection of Glataxone to manage my problem. I do not have any inflammation in my spine. I have severe dorsal spine muscle spasms or tightness in my right abdomen for more than six months. The neurologist told me that it is caused due to disrupted signals from the brain. I have tried many muscle relaxants for the last six months but it did not help me. I have also tried to use many ayurvedic oils and it caused me more pain. I am finding it tough to handle it. Please advise some Siddha or ayurvedic medicines to relax my abdomen muscle. Previously, I had multiple sclerosis including numbness. But this is the first time for me to have spasms. I am attaching my MRI scan reports.

Will smash repair work lead to future health problems?

Hello doctor,

Years ago I worked as an apprentice in a smash repairer. Mostly I was wet, sanding primer coats and sanding filler flat. This was 20 years ago, and I have not worked in this field since. While doing this I never wore a mask, no one in the shop did that, except the painter when he was in the booth. No one online seems to wear a mask when doing these tasks either. I know the dust from this process probably is not fantastic, but I had no short term effects and was just hoping someone in the know can put my anxious mind at rest by confirming that the reason no one wears a mask because the dust is relatively safe as far as long term health conditions go. It seems highly unlikely these were fiberglass based as automotive fillers seem to be plastic-based. I also might have been in the shop when sanding of paint happened or smelt the smell of spray paint after a job but never remember being in close proximity to anything like that.

Are the lesions in my skin due to heavy metal poisoning?

Hello doctor,

I had heavy metal poisoning after living in a house that was previously a meth lab. We found out that the well in the place had arsenic, so it is possible to be in us. There were also similar issues in three other families exposed to non-decontaminated meth lab locations. My mother and I were sick and had several symptoms that included sleeplessness, anxiety, burning sensation, bruises, blisters, and sores on the skin when we touched a contaminated object. We doubt if the arsenic is staying in the sweat and contaminating the things around us. We experience lung irritations near an affected object, a cold sore on the lips for over three months, pain in the muscles, bones, liver, kidney, and spleen areas. We left the property where this happened, but symptoms continued. It seems like the toxin is spreading in the air. I do not have obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). My pets also have been ill and are having thyroid and hormone issues. If we cook or wash dishes, there are rashes and pain in the stomach. So we can eat only packaged food wearing gloves. We live in a rural area, and there are no experts nearby. The local authorities said testing or decontaminating cannot be done because of high costs. My mom and I are taking vitamins and herbs. I am attaching the previous test reports. Could you let me know if there is an unknown toxin test or any other test that could show more than just heavy metals?
