What treatment can help with recurrent bladder infections?

Hi, Welcome to icliniq.com. Females are more prone to urinary tract infection due to the proximity of the anal orifice to the urethral orifice. However, post-menopause, this increases due to increased cornification of the vulva, which allows easier access for the pathogen to form colonies. Added to this, the old age has poor elasticity of the urinary bladder, resulting in poor emptying of the bladder, which again contributes to infection. These are the real reasons for infection in your mother.

My phimosis is getting worse. Will this lead to lichen sclerosus?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. I have gone through your case, and the following are my pointwise answers. The progressive tightening of the foreskin is not always suggestive of BXO. Instead, gradual tightening is an age-related process when a male does not retract foreskin often and clean the undersurface. Proper inspection of the suspect lesion is only possible after adequate circumcision.

Hi, Welcome to icliniq.com. It appears as recurrent epididymo-orchitis. Please get a urine culture sensitivity done and get back to me. How can one recover from persistent circumcision swelling?

Hi, Welcome to icliniq.com. I have gone through your history and photos (attachment removed to protect patient identity). It would have been easy to assess the condition if I get the photograph of the foreskin before surgery. If you have the histopathology report of the excised foreskin, please upload the same. This will describe your genital skin condition.

Can HPV lesions on my penis lead to cancer?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. The HPV infection is caused by a group of viruses called Human papillomaviruses. Majority of them are self-limiting and do not produce any symptoms. Most common viruses that cause warts are type 6 and 11, and they are harmless, whereas types 16 and 18 cause cancer. Now in your case, I need to know the type of virus found in the lesion.

How can I treat a tight foreskin without surgery at 23?

Hi, Welcome to icliniq.com. The condition you are referring to is called the tight foreskin. It is due to the decreased elasticity of the foreskin in your case. The total relief is with surgical removal only. However, you can try the 1 % Hydrocortisone cream application on the edges and the undersurface of the foreskin twice a day for two weeks and get back to me.

I have pain while retracting foreskin. Please help.

Hi, Welcome to icliniq.com. The foreskin retracts itself on erection and if you had no problem for masturbation, there will not be any problem for sex as well. Foreskin never comes in the way of sex. Hence, you need not be anxious. Basically, the foreskin slides easily during sex and one should not forget to pull it back after sex.

How much time will it take for urine incontinence to be cured after vasectomy?

Hi, Welcome to icliniq.com. Urine incontinence occurs due to uninhibited contractions of urinary bladder and has nothing to do with vasectomy. These uninhibited contractions can occur due to urinary tract infections or neurological causes. In your case, no obvious infection is detected in urine. Staphylococcus aureus is a bacteria seen in skin and presence of this in urine or semen means contamination of sample with skin while giving sample for culture.

What are the signs of infertility?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. The two semen analyses reports show entirely different semen characteristics (attachment removed to protect patient identity). The first report is entirely normal, and the person can father a child as long as his female partner is normal. The second report shows no sperms, hence the person cannot father a child. But there are few clarifications needed, whether both reports are from one person only? What were the collection methods? What was the time gap between two reports if both are from one person? What is the fructose value in the second report? What is the serum FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) value in person with the second report? what does transrectal and scrotal ultrasound show in both? If you can clarify these points, I shall be able to give still a detailed answer.

What is the hard thing I feel under the skin of my penis?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. The lesions you are referring to are glands containing sebum, which are present sparsely over the penile skin. As and when the openings of the ducts are blocked, they feel hard but resolve on their own. You need not worry anything about them as they are benign and self-limiting. However, if you get pain, please get back to me as I need to suggest some investigations in case of pain.
