Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I delivered a baby two months ago and have been having intense stomach cramps for a while now. It used to be only when I eat, but it has been on and off for the past three days. I also have had awful upper back pain, diarrhea, and weakness for about a week.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

I suppose you might have acute gastroenteritis.

Please provide me with more details:

1. Do you have any blood in your stools or skin rash?

2. Do you have a history of irritable bowel syndrome?

Gastroenteritis is the most commonly self-limiting condition.

I would suggest the following:

1. Tablet Buscopan for colicky pain.

2. Tablet Imodium 4 mg after each motion of diarrhea, not to exceed three tablets per day.

However, please consult a specialist doctor, discuss with them and start taking the medications with their consent.

I hope this helps. Thank you and take care.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
