Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
The other night I drank beer. But yesterday I got a mild fever with wet stool. I felt sharp abdominal pain on the right side of my stomach. It is like a sharp pain that triggers from time to time. within at least 5 seconds the pain is increasing and then gone. What would be the reason? Please help.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
From what you have mentioned, a few common diseases that can cause such symptoms are appendicitis, kidney stones, gallstones, or even gastroenteritis, depending on the exact location of the pain whether it is in the umbilical area, or the upper part of your stomach near the liver, or near your lower rib, etc. I would definitely suggest you get an ultrasound done if the pain does not subside or pain severity increases or you start having other symptoms such as vomiting, painful urination, high-grade fever etc., so that you have a definite diagnosis.
Also, you can get a complete blood count done too. As of now, you can take tablet Paracetamol 650 mg SOS for pain and fever. If you need any further assistance or help, I can always help. Thank you and stay safe.
