Hello doctor,

I have dull pain and pressure in my lower right abdomen for about six months which worsens while sitting. There is kidney pain while running.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your case and can well understand your genuine health concern. As you mentioned that you are having abdominal pain from a long time, I suggest you get evaluated properly. Chronic abdominal pain that too on right lower has many causes. It may be related to some disease of the gastrointestinal tract or urinary tract or some muscular problem. Disease of small intestine involving ileocaecal junction like ileitis, typhoid ulcers, inflammatory bowel diseases, a disease of large intestine like colitis, IBD, a disease of the kidney and urinary tract like stones in the kidney, ureter, etc., can cause pain in the right lower abdomen. The pain related to the kidney is generally dull aching and present in the lumbar area and it can increase with activity. Sometimes, a muscle spasm can also cause severe pain which increases with activity. In my opinion, you need an ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis to confirm the diagnosis. As your problem is a chronic one you need to consult a surgeon and get your ultrasound done.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
