Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am 34 and have been experiencing persistent stomach pain and a burning sensation. Three months ago, I underwent an endoscopy, which showed pangastritis. The symptoms initially improved but returned after some time. I recently had another evaluation with gastroscopy and colonoscopy, which revealed IBS and antral gastritis.
At present, I am admitted to the hospital, where my doctor has diagnosed me with acute gastritis. Despite treatment, I continue to feel the same burning discomfort in my stomach. My current medications include Pantoprazole, Ofloxacin with Ornidazole, Antolix, and Evitol capsules.
I would like to know:
Why do my symptoms keep recurring despite treatment?
Could this be due to an infection, diet, stress, or another underlying condition?
What additional tests or follow-up should I consider to clarify the cause?
Are there any lifestyle or dietary changes that could help reduce flare-ups and prevent recurrence?
Please guide me.Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Based on your symptoms and reports, this seems to be acid peptic disease (APD). I recommend that you consult a specialist in person and take medications only under their supervision.
Treatment advice:
Omeprazole (a proton pump inhibitor) twice daily.
Normaxin (Clidinium, Chlordiazepoxide, and Dicyclomine) twice daily.
Avoid spicy or oily foods, smoking, and alcohol.
Follow up with your doctor for further review and dose adjustments if needed.
Let me know if you need further clarification.
Thank you.
