Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have never consulted a dermatologist, but I have acne, which bothers me. It interferes with my mental health as well. I am not sure how to identify it. Is puberty the reason behind my acne? I have been dealing with acne scars for a long time. I drink a lot of water, but there have been no significant improvements.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your case.

You have a puberty-related acne outbreak, which appears at a young age and happens in many cases. However, there are many other causes, including excessive use of cosmetics, steroids, or moisturizers, which could cause occlusion folliculitis, and sometimes food like chocolate also aggravates it. You need to understand that you may have frequent outbreaks until your 20s, but this is not something to be worried about as it will eventually heal. So be patient, as stress can also aggravate it. I suggest you apply Clindamycin gel twice daily for 14 days. Drink plenty of water. Consult a specialist doctor, discuss with them, and take medications with their consent.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
